Frederic Leighton, Flaming June, 1895, oil on canvas, 120 × 120 cm, Museo de Arte de Ponce. Source
Flaming June perfectly presents the classicist style of Lord Leighton. The female subject, draped in a sheer orange garment, sleeps as peacefully as a nymph, perhaps unaware that she is being watched.

“I don’t think art is propaganda; it should be something that liberates the soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further. It celebrates humanity instead of manipulating it.”

When I say “TERFs are not welcome in the LGBTQ+ community”, I do not mean that TERFs are not gay/lesbian/bi/etc. I do not mean that TERFs are lying about their sexual orientation. I do not mean that TERFs are not marginalized people who identify with the LGBTQ+ community and share identities with other LGBTQ+ people.
What I mean when I say “TERFs are not welcome in the LGBTQ+ community” is that TERFs and SWERFs spread violent, hateful, false rhetoric about other members of the community, do active harm to the community, and seek to make the community an unwelcoming place where identities are strictly regulated and people who do not fit that mold are harassed and kicked out. Because they seek to destroy the very foundation of the LGBTQ+ community, they are not welcome, no matter their orientation.
Since a lot of y’all fucks seem to love to accuse people who say that TERFs and SWERFs are not welcome of “straightwashing” them. We aren’t saying that they aren’t LGBTQ+- we are saying that they are malicious and are not welcome in LGBTQ+ spaces if their goals are to do harm.
